Off to dConstruct

I haven’t been to a conference in ages, and the last time I got truly excited by one was FOWA 2006, so it’s with a gentle anticipation and trying-not-to-build-it-up excitement that I’m looking forward to dConstruct this year. I think it’s not just because it does look like a great and interesting day – but also tons of my friends from across the country are coming, and being much more stay in these days, it’ll be great to see them all in one shot 🙂

Hopefully it won’t be like the Moo party this year though, where there were so many people I knew and wanted to catch up with, but such a teeny tiny hot and smelly place that I had to leave before I could catch up with any of them! D’oh! Being pregnant and sober does make the usual shouty mingling a lot harder.

So, if you’re going to dConstruct look out for me and do say hi, they don’t let me out much these days you know! I won’t be hard to spot, I’ll be the one looking like the Goodyear blimp.
